Obituary for Shirley Street

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4:7
Mrs. Shirley Lou Street, age 74, of Rowe, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (April 26, 2017) in a Richlands, Virginia hospital. Born October 1, 1942 in Rowe, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Carra Bostic Hess. A devoted Christian for over fifty years, she attended Rowe Pentecostal Church and Swords Creek Block Church. A lifelong resident of the Rowe area, she was a 1961 graduate of Garden High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ellis Street.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Street and wife, Jean of Swords Creek; two daughters, Linda Helton and husband, Larry of Franklinville, North Carolina and Connie Looney and husband, Anthony “Pooh” of Rowe, Virginia; six grandchildren, Bobby Brandon Street and wife, Sharonda, Ashley Plaster and husband, Michael, Jason Helton and wife, Kaitlin, Logan Looney, Caleb Looney, Luke Looney and Ava Looney; two great-grandchildren, Maggie Plaster and Abby O’Quinn; three sisters, Sylvia Rose, Gaye Street and husband, Luther, and Mable Street; three brothers, Harlis Hess and wife, Eula Gaye, Herman Hess and wife, Christine, and Darrell Hess and wife, Debbie; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Steve Perkins, Rev. Eddie Street and Rev. Michael Justice officiating. Interment will follow in the Nuckles Cemetery on Fletchers Ridge, Virginia.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Friday, where an evening service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
